My husband loves cookies. I love him. So when he asks me to bake cookies at 8:00 at night, I can't help myself.
I have never made peanut butter cookies and technically speaking, I still haven't made a traditional peanut butter cookie. I adapted this recipe to my liking from the Nestle Toll House Best Loved Recipes cookbook.
I didn't have any nuts in the house but I did have Reese's Pieces, my favorite, so I tossed them into the mix.
These cookies are butter, rich and amazing! I've had to hide them so I stop eating them. I used bittersweet chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. I like the richer flavor they give and, if I'm honest, I tell myself there are health benefits to boot! I may be fooling myself, but these cookies are good for the soul and that alone is enough of a benefit for us!
Oh yum!! These look very yummy!
